Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 6, 2026
PaceCalc is a running pace calculator for iOS and the web. We designed it to work without accounts, sign-ups, email capture, ads, analytics, or tracking.
This Privacy Policy applies to the PaceCalc iOS app and pacecalc.com.
What We Collect
We do not collect personal data through the PaceCalc iOS app.
The app does not collect your name, email address, location, health data, contacts, photos, advertising ID, or device identifiers. Pace, time, distance, splits, race name, and share-card inputs are processed on your device.
The app stores basic preferences locally on your device, such as units, theme, default distance, share handle, and dismissed prompts. This local storage is used only to make the app work the way you set it up.
Website Data
Pacecalc.com does not require an account and does not intentionally collect personal information.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process basic technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps, and error logs. These logs are used for security, reliability, and debugging. We do not use them to identify you, sell you anything, or track you across other websites.
If you use a PaceCalc share link, the link may include calculator values such as distance, time, pace, or unit preference in the URL.
Sharing
If you create or share a PaceCalc card, you choose what appears on it. Shared images or links may include values you entered, such as race name, pace, time, distance, unit preference, or share handle.
If you share content through Apple, social platforms, messaging apps, or other third-party services, their privacy policies apply.
App Store Reviews
The app may ask whether you want to leave an App Store review. Reviews are handled by Apple. We only see reviews that you choose to post publicly on the App Store.
Third Parties
PaceCalc may link to third-party websites or services, such as Apple, Instagram, or Buy Me a Coffee. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Children
PaceCalc is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your Choices
You can delete local app data by deleting the app from your device.
You can clear website data through your browser settings.
You can choose not to share PaceCalc cards or links.
Because we do not operate user accounts, we usually do not have personal account data to access, export, or delete.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy if PaceCalc changes. If we add accounts, analytics, ads, tracking, or any new data collection, we will update this page.
